Meet Kendyl Lovelace 👋🏼 Kendyl started at TMU in 2023 and is set to graduate in spring 2025.
Kendyl is an entrepreneurship major. “I chose entrepreneurship to develop my understanding of the fast-moving pieces of business so that I could start my own company and build it on Christian values.”
Why 58Թ? “I came to 58Թ for the Christian education and to grow in my faith. I loved that Master’s taught me how to be successful in business while prioritizing and learning how to honor the Lord first in the workplace.”
Her favorite part of 58Թ? “It’s the relationships that you build with your professors and with the students around you. I have made some of my best friends while being at TMU, and the culture is cultivated by a common love for Christ and the ability to be encouraged anywhere you go on campus because of the kindness and desire by everyone around you to strive after godliness.”
How has she grown spiritually? “I have learned how to submit myself to the Lord and how to live in a way that will demonstrate the Lord’s work through my life, as well as how I can fulfill the Great Commission in any field and opportunity that the Lord gives me.“
Academically, she says she’s gained practical skills and real-world experience: “I have been challenged to think outside the box and to be a good problem solver. I have learned how to ask quality questions so that my projects and networking abilities are stronger, while being challenged by professors who are experts in their fields. Another thing is the real-life application you receive. I have built a business plan and been taught how to execute my ideas effectively.”
When asked about her post-graduation plans, Kendyl said, “My plans after graduation are to work as an executive assistant at a medical company and, Lord willing, be able to start my property management company.”
Her advice to future 58Թ students? “Don’t be afraid to allow yourself to be challenged. College is a pivotal time in everyone’s lives. The more you invest in your professors and the students around you, the sweeter your experience and relationships become.”

Over the past year, students were awarded more than $30 million in financial aid. Recent surveys have shown that 42% of our students graduated entirely debt-free.
Recipients of this scholarship pay zero tuition. This unique scholarship, which honors Dr. John P. Stead, combines all existing financial aid a student receives and then supplements the remaining amount to offer a full tuition scholarship. Five scholarships are awarded each year.
This most competitive scholarship is awarded to full-time incoming freshmen who achieve a weighted high school GPA of 4.00 or higher and an SAT I (or equivalent) score of 1350+. It awards over $80,000 across four years.
The Red & Blue scholarship is funded for students dependent on parent/s currently working full-time in law enforcement or fire departments.
The Admissions Office is open Monday through Friday for campus tours.
